REPORT OF NCASH 2017

            National Conference of Applied Sciences and Humanities (NCASH) 2017 was organised by Humanities and Sciences Department of Thakur College of Engineering and Technology. The program was conducted under the banner of Multicon-W 2016.

Date of Program: 24th & 25th February 2017

Venue: Thakur College of Engineering & Technology

Total number of participating Delegates: 37

The conference consisted of 4 tracks as follows:

Nanomaterial Nano composites and Novel Material

Mathematical Modelling

Synthetic Green Chemistry

Environmental Sciences

Business Communication, Managerial competency and Linguistics

Some of the papers were published in McGraw-hill proceedings and others in NCASH proceedings. We have an additional association with IJSR (International Journal of Science and research)

We received 39 papers from all the tracks out of which 19 papers were contributed by students in collaboration with faculties. In remaining 20 papers three papers came from external delegates and 17 came from in-house faculties.

Out of this 17 papers 5 got published in McGraw-hill and 12 papers in NCASH proceedings. The resource persons, Dr. D.A.R.Babu, a retired scientist, Head of radiation protection, gave the key note speech and also chaired the first day session. He was very much appreciated by delegates for fruitful interactions. Dr. V.N Kulkarni (Professor) Department of Mathematics, University of Mumbai attended the conference on second day, session chair where he appreciated the efforts taken by H &S department and the encouragement given by the management of TCET in the continued initiative of a II National Conference in H&S department.

The event ended with a closing ceremony on 25th February at 4:30 pm with panel discussion and announcement of Multicon W 2018 on 23rd and 24th Feb 2018 followed by  vote of thanks.
